WELCOME TO LITTLE SAINTS!

At Little Saints, we recognize that each child is a unique individual who requires nuturing and guidance to develop.  The Little Saints program is designed to encourage the spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth of each child.  Our approach to learning is child-centered, with self-selection an important aspect of our activities.  A variety of developmentally appropriate activities are available to encourage the process of learning in a "hands-on" environment.

It is our belief that the child's parents are the most important people in their child's life.  For that reason, Little Saints encourages parent participation and strives to form a parent/teacher/school partnership.

Our strategies for partnership include:

GOALS FOR OUR CHILDREN

Spiritual - To provide opportunities for learning, by word and example, the Christian ideals of our Catholic tradition.

Intellectual - To provide opportunities for meaningful play that are based on the child's individual needs, interests and abilities which will build important foundations for future reading skills and other academic pursuits.

Social - To provide opportunities for being with other children who are similar in age in a setting conducive to the development of wholesome social relationships.

Physical - To provide opportunities that will facilitate growth through the use of motor skills.

Emotional - To provide opportunities to develop a healthy self-image.

GOALS FOR OUR PARENTS

To be a resource in areas of child development and appropriate parenting methods.

To encourage parents to interact with staff, teachers, and other parents who have as their common concern, the interests and needs of their children.

GOALS FOR THE COMMUNITY

To support the community in addressing the needs and education of children through teacher training workshops, parent education, and advocacy.
